“Alton Brown Live: Eat Your Science” hit the road in 2016. The show includes songs, multimedia presentations, talk-show antics, and bigger and better potentially dangerous food demonstrations – but most important, “You’ll see things I’ve never been allowed to do on TV.” (-Alton Brown).
Katie worked hand-in-hand with Mr. Brown to execute his overall vision for Alton Brown Live: Eat Your Science. The “atomic meatball” insignia embodies a vintage NASA feel while the portrait emulates PBS’s Carl Sagan. The show reflects every aspect of the campaign and includes an extensive line of merchandise that continues to sell exceptionally well.
By creating two unique yet consistent pieces of art, each is utilized for different purposes. In the world of live theater, Alton Brown’s portrait holds the most value making it the primary marketing tool targeting ticket buyers. Once the ticket buyer has been captured, the “atomic meatball” creates sought-after merchandise and lends itself to manageable production processes.
