The U.S. Snowboarding/U.S. Freeskiing Grand Prix is the longest running domestic series in its sport. The 2014 series comprised of the primary selection events to choose the Olympic teams for halfpipe and slopestyle snowboarding and skiing. The poster design reflects the Olympics in Sochi, Russia with an emphasis on U.S. patriotism. Since the Grand Prix series is the only series that U.S. riders and skiers can qualify for the U.S. Olympic team, the design is meant to tout the allegiance athletes feel to their country and teammates in an Olympic year.

After qualifying through the U.S. Grand Prix series, U.S. athletes went on to win four gold in halfpipe freeskiing and slopestyle skiing, highlighted by a sweep of the men’s slopestyle medals and a sweep of the men’s and women’s halfpipe skiing gold. Additionally, U.S. athletes swept men’s and women’s gold in slopestyle snowboarding.
